These standards are part of the WHO Integrated Management of Pregnancy and Childbirth Care (IMPAC) Package, aiming to improve the health and survival of women and newborns during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The updated guidelines emphasize the importance of high-quality care around childbirth, focusing on eight domains of quality care to ensure better outcomes for mothers and babies.
